I found this vintage washboard at the Brimfield Antiques Flea Market.  I sanded it down and painted a flag on it for some Americana flair.  The washboard measures about 14" wide x 25" tall. 

This is a wool felt applique of a sheep that I hand stitched onto a piece tea stained warm & natural cotton batting.  Around his neck he's got a strip of aged cheesecloth with a rusty bell and tag that reads "USA".  The frame is a flea market find that I painted black.  It measures 14 3/4 x 18 3/4".

I've hand stitched a big primitive willow tree, two sheep and "Simplify" onto a piece of tea stained warm and natural cotton batting.  I've taken actual sheep's wool and stitched it onto the bodies of the sheep.  It's framed in a vintage 16 x 20" frame that I painted black.

I've painted up the rest of my childhood wooden building blocks with flags.  They are sanded and antiqued for a nice prim look.  These measure approximately 1 1/2 x 5".  A little Americana piece great for a shelf!

I've painted a flag on the cover of this 5 1/2 x 8" vintage blue book.  I've sanded and antiqued it for a time worn look.  A strip of blue homespun runs through the center of the book to create the hanger so you can hang on a knob or peg.  The homespun can be easily removed if you wish to lay this piece flat.

I've painted a flag on this vintage wooden spoon and added a piece of blue homespun.  A nice little touch of Americana for your kitchen!  The spoon is 14" long.

I picked up this vintage grater while on one of my antiquing trips.  I stencilled red, white & blue stars on it and added a piece of blue homespun.  This grater measures 13 x 4" and makes a nice Americana piece for your kitchen antiques collection.

This 6 x 9 1/2" vintage muffin tin was another of my flea market finds that I turned into a piece of Americana by painting a flag on it.  Not easy to do!!  I've sanded and antiqued it for a time worn look and also added a strip of homespun.  Wouldn't this look great tucked in with your kitchen antiques collection!

I've hand stitched pieces of wool onto tea stained osnaburg to make this americana flag.  I found the stars in my scrapbooking supplies and thought they added a nice patriotic touch.  The piece is framed in a 22 1/2 x 9 1/2" repurposed frame that I found at a yard sale and painted black.

I picked up this great prim star at a yard sale and gave it new life by painting a flag on it.  I've also added a bunch of fragrant dried sweet annie wrapped in a piece of aged cheesecloth.  It's now a nice Americana piece ready to hang.  Measures approximately 9" W x 17" L

This is a vintage wooden tennis racquet that I cleaned up and painted a flag on.  I've added a bunch of fragrant dried sweet annie and a hangtag that reads "Team USA".  This unique Americana piece has a hanger for hanging or you can just prop it up in your favorite spot.  This one is a one of a kind!

I've painted a flag on this old window shutter for a great Americana look.  The shutter measures 8" w x 28" h.  It's got a hanger on the back if you want to hang it.  I like mine propped up against a cabinet with some of my other old things.
