I have a stash of old roofing slate and this primitive chalkboard just called out to me.  My friend Bob made this great frame from some old barnboard.  It measures 9 1/4" x 17 1/2 ".  I've tied a piece of chalk with a strip of homespun and added a hang tag that reads "School Days".  There is a hanger on the back if you want to hang.

I've painted up the rest of my childhood wooden building blocks with flags.  They are sanded and antiqued for a nice prim look.  These measure approximately 1 1/2 x 5".  A little Americana piece great for a shelf!

I've stencilled this vintage wooden cutting board with a country red saltbox house, prim willow tree, "Simplify" and a checker board border.  It measures 11 1/4" w x 17" h and has all the great old knife marks.  There is a hook for hanging on the back.

I found these wonderful vintage typeset letters at Brimfield Antique Fleamarket.  I've arranged them to spell out "Prim".   The height of the tallest letter is about 2".  This arrangement is a great addition to your primitive collection.  Individual letters may vary from the picture.
